Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review

The ultrapricey Note 9 is one of the year's best phones. But unless you're in dire need of an upgrade, the smart move is to wait for what the next iPhone, Pixel and even Galaxy S10 bring.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review

Bigger than previous Note phones in every way, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a larger 6.4-inch screen, heftier 4,000mAh battery, and a massive 1TB of storage option. The already good camera is slightly better, the stereo speakers are a first for the Note, and the Bluetooth-connected S Pen can activate fun customizable shortcuts remotely. But its price matches (and even tops) what you’ll pay for an iPhone X.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review: In praise of incrementalism

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a fantastic option for those who want as many features as possible in their smartphone — if they're willing to pay the hefty thousand dollar price tag. With an updated S-Pen, bigger battery, and massive storage options, the Note 9 offers an extremely compelling experience for consumers that want it all.

Galaxy Note 9: the smartphone of your dreams for a steep price

The Note 9 isn't the fastest smartphone. It doesn't have the best battery life in the world and the cameras can lag in some situations compared to the competition, but where will you find another device with all these high-level features? The S-Pen might not be suitable accessory for everyone, but the Note 9 is best complete package on the market, and if I were to decide to invest 1,000 dollars in a device, the Note 9 would be my first choice.

The new Note 9 gives the most more of any Note phone. It has the biggest screen, the fastest processor, the biggest battery, the largest storage, and the most features.
