Ultrafast 5G Phones to Look for in 2019

2019 is going to be all about 5G. And we’re going to see a lot of smartphones companies sporting the best 5G phones. Amongst them are Samsung, Huawei, One Plus, Oppo, Honor and Xiaomi that will be rolling out the latest wireless network.

The potential of 5G speeds and future has a lot of people excited. It’s even sparked a global race to be the first to roll it out.

What can 5G do?

It will be a 100x faster than current wireless mobile networks like 4G. It could replace your cable service with wireless broadband, as fast as fiber. It may add capacity for a million more devices, something required to support the growth of smart cities, connected homes and the internet of things.

Upcoming 5G Phones

  • Samsung S10

It is no secret that Samsung is launching 3 models of the Galaxy S10 whose code names are Beyond 0, Beyond 1 and Beyond 2. Some new information has been revealed by a trusted leaker ‘Ice Universe’ as well as South Korean publication, the ‘Bell’. It says Samsung is planning to launch a 5G variant of the high-end Galaxy S10 Plus in a limited quantity initially, considering that 5G is still a long way to go before its proper implementation. Furthermore, the ‘Bell’ notes that apart from the 5G connectivity, the S10 will still share the same specifications as the S10 Plus.

  • Huawei P30 OR Mate 30

In an exclusive interview, Huawei confirmed that it is working on 5G smartphones when Walter Ji, President of Huawei’s Western European Consumer Business Group conversed with T3 in an exclusive interview. A senior executive from Huawei confirmed that the 5G feature would either be available on either the P30 or else the Mate series next September. The P20 and Mate 20 have been impressive variants and it seems like the 5G-ready devices will definitely make some heads turn, along with stellar speed and connectivity.

  • OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7T

Pete Lau, the CEO for One Plus confirmed at Mobile World Congress Shanghai that the One Plus is “working with carriers” to roll out a 5G smartphone in the market the coming year. The 5G network is most likely to be seen in either the One Plus 7 or One Plus 7T variants. 5G seems to be a perfect integration for the cult Chinese maker with excellent speed and performance already seen in the previous One Plus models.

  • Oppo 5G Flagship

Oppo is racing to match the 5G game. The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that it is going to create a device with 5G network by customising the Oppo R15. Oppo seems pretty positive of its ability to incorporate this new technology into its devices.

  • Honor 5G Phone

Honor’s president, George Zhao has confirmed that they will be rolling out a 5G smartphone in 2019. Additionally, they believe that they would be the first Chinese manufacturer to release a 5G variant. Although there are no leaks to confirm the same, Zhao coming forward to give a thumbs up may indicate that their release will be around the beginning of the new year.

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has confirmed in late October about its release of a 5G variant in the UK and Europe in the first quarter of 2019. With a few leaks that have been released, the Mix 3 seems like a strong contender amongst other devices. A magnetically sliding 6.39-inch OLED display in a bezel-less design, 10 GB of RAM and a capacity to store 256 GB as well as a dual camera setup, (24MP + 2 MP) are great features that current Xiaomi users may already be looking ahead for.
